London College of Fashion / Puma exhibition
The London College of Fashion collaborated with Puma on a design competition, which saw the student designers create a piece that explores the relationship between music and fashion.
LCF threw a little party to showcase the winning designs, with Frankmusik and Goldierocks on the decks; the showroom on Broadwick Street was rammed with the best-dressed people in London and a makeshift bar. Even the odd celebrity made an appearance – if you can qualify Jodie Harsh as such a thing. The room was so rammed there was just no space for any sort of aircon apparently; sweatbox was not even the word…. So most of the mingling went on outside in the warm summer evening air, where groups of tourists turned the corner from Carnaby to Broadwick Street and the waves of puzzlement gradually passed over their faces as they saw gaggles of interestingly dressed people sipping bottles of beer, while paparazzi lined a makeshift carpet. Never did find out who it was they were waiting to snap…

Lauren Greenwood was named the best overall winner of the competition and her winning design will be sold on asos.com. Stine Nielson won Best Creative Design for her shredded grey number. The clothes will be displayed in the LCF exhibition space, 65-67 Broadwick Street until 30th August, so pop down and take a look.
