Welcome Home Ms Hill

This season the Mulberry girl is in full bloom, playfully dressing in kaleidoscope prints and accessorising with fresh saturated brights like turquoise, pinks, purple and denim. This is all thanks to their new Creative Director Emma Hill.
Hill is a widely acclaimed British designer who is credited with the success of accessories collections for many of the great brands including Marc Jacobs, the launch of Marc by Marc Jacobs, Chloe and the Gap bag.
She relished the idea of coming home to work with the English luxury leather goods brand appreciated worldwide for its ‘artisan’ approach to leather accessories; menswear and womenswear.

1. How does it feel to be at home?
I am very blessed in that I consider myself to have two homes. I was born in London, but made in New York, as was my 2-year-old son, Hudson.
But being back in London, at the creative helm of such a national treasure as Mulberry, is an honour indeed!
2. What do you love about London?
• Black taxis
• Fish and Chips
• The Tate Modern
• David Hockney
• Holland Park
• Eastenders!
3. What’s your favourite piece in the Spring 09 collection?
The Oversize Bayswater Clutch- in Black Cracked Patent- because it’s sexy and edgy and modern, whilst also practical and totally Mulberry!
