Yaw, from Chicago, needs more attention in my opinion. Where Would You Be, was one of my tunes of 2008; a beautiful haunting Al Green type track, sad but uplifting…everything you want from a soul singer.
Criminally only available on a limited obscure vinyl release, but more recently on Giles Peterson’s Brownswood Bubblers vol 3 CD compilation, I can only hope Yaw will get a full album deal soon.
