Richly.Hawtin – Label.Launch
Richly.Hawtin is the conclusion in form of a fashionline that emerges of the friendship between fashion designer Isolde Richly and DJ Richie Hawtin.

Richie Hawtin and Isolde Richly in their own designs.
They first met in Club der Visionäre in Berlin 6 years ago, since then they inspire each other mutually. Richly underlines how important the relationship is for her: “…Richie always pushed me forward in my thoughts…he showed me to live dreams…”
They share a special feeling for Japanese culture and fashion. After finishing her studies at Kunsthochschule Berlin Weißensee Richly moves to Tokyo in 2007. The year after they found their label. They combine forces for the whole creative process, when it comes to technical terms such as pattern cutting and production control Isolde Richly takes over.
Yesterday they launched a, 100 pieces limited edition, trench coat-inspired T-Shirt in the Berlin Apartment store.
Beside the Tee they previewed pieces of the following collection: Predictable Streetwear with mathematical and minimal approach in shades that range from light-mouse-grey, over middle-mud-green-grey until black – of course, at first blush. Fine terminations as little metallic pieces for seam ending, high quality of materials and manufacture at a closer view. The complete production including fabric preparation finds place in Tokyo.

Freestyles Linda Ehrl first formulated what really matters: The ongoing approximation between the interested user and the designer during the last years.
An evident and natural trend, as I can´t find any reason why clothes to be used in every day action and movements should be made on rigid mannequins.

I like the photographic style. It must be one of the specially club scene effects on this camera. Just the right style to photograph a club- and designer coop…. ;-) !!

it’s a shame he’s forgotten how to make good music

I can’t say if he’s forgotten or not since I havn’t heard anything for time… I will say, however, that his “Spastik” Ep on NovaMute will always remain a piece of music history. And he is responsible for numerous advancements in dance music and dj technology. I hope this new venture goes well for him… we all need to diversify.
